JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Elderly Administration's meeting points are responsible for creating and coordinating activities with a preventive and health-promoting approach. Focusing on seniors' needs to enable independence for as long as possible. Activities such as physical activity, social community, and welfare technology are the major focus areas we work with. You will collaborate with other professionals within the municipality and in associations and interest groups.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing activities that stimulate seniors' physical, social, and mental abilities. Preventing loneliness and creating a sense of meaning and connection is an important part of the operation.

The position includes working with a handyman service, which is a new assignment within the meeting points' operations. The assignment involves preventing falls and reducing digital exclusion for seniors aged 68 and older in regular housing in Karlskrona municipality.

The tasks may include installing TV channels and simple programs on computers/smartphones, fixing cables, etc. Other tasks may involve changing light bulbs, curtains, and picking up/dropping off items in attics/basements. You are responsible for receiving and managing orders for planning and implementing the service.

The position also includes administrative tasks and statistical reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained leisure leader or have other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.

You have a genuine interest in planning and conducting physical and social activities.

You have good computer skills and knowledge of welfare technology.

You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have a basic understanding of English.

You have a driver's license.

Relevant experience for the assignment is an advantage.

As a person, you are proactive and driven by seeing new opportunities that develop the business. You have good social skills and are professional in your interactions with people around you. In your work, you will meet various individuals and groups, which means you need to be able to interact with others and have good communication. You are flexible in your working methods and can adjust and prioritize according to individual needs. The work requires the ability to collaborate with others but also to work independently.
