The Department of Work and Welfare consists of Individual and Family Care, Support, Services and Housing, as well as Education, Work and Prevention. We are a total of about 300 employees who work salutogenically and solution-oriented with a knowledge base in scientifically grounded methods.

Our mission is to help and support individuals with social problems and/or disabilities, to work preventively and promote efforts to counteract exclusion and social issues, and through studies or employment to find a way into working life towards self-sufficiency. From a child rights perspective, we help, support, and protect children and young people so they can live and develop under good and safe conditions.

Placement: The Investigation, Support and Treatment Unit (USB) within Individual and Family Care (IFO). We are approximately 60 employees within IFO, and within USB, we are 20 employees.

The unit offers a workplace characterized by a holistic view towards our citizens. Our working method is based on a solution-focused approach, inclusion, and recognizing each individual's abilities. In addition to social workers, the unit employs field workers, youth counselors, family counselors, and drug therapists.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social worker with us, you will assess the needs and grant assistance for interventions for adults with harmful use and dependence on alcohol/drugs as well as gambling.

Your work is based on current legislation and the guidelines that exist for the area of activity. You will work purposefully according to the care plan and follow up and revise the care plan as needed.

Your work will be characterized by collaboration with various actors, both internal and external.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained social worker or are currently studying to become a social worker with good knowledge of the Social Services Act. Previous experience of authority exercise within harmful use and dependence is meritorious.

You do not need to be fully trained, but you want to develop in your profession and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues and other authorities. It is an advantage if you have experience of authority exercise and investigative work within social services. You have a strong commitment to social work and believe that meeting clients is important.

You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability and your personal qualities such as flexibility, cooperation, and initiative.
