In Karlshamn municipality, we are committed to creating an efficient and client-friendly social service based on accessibility, responsiveness, and competence. Together within the unit and our open care, we create a seamless social service that works trustworthily with effective flows. Due to two of our colleagues moving to new positions within our organization, we are looking for a social worker and a child caseworker as well as a youth caseworker.

Job Responsibilities
We all work together with the approach Signs of Safety, where participation and collaboration with families are considered a given. As a social worker, you believe in parents' ability to change and see their own resources. We also work with the method Children's Needs in Focus, BBIC, which contributes to a structure for case management, implementation, and follow-up of authority exercise.

As a child caseworker, youth caseworker, and social worker, you will work with authority exercise within one of our three teams. Your responsibilities include investigating and assessing the needs of children and families, as well as planning and following up on interventions to create a safer and more sustainable living situation. You will also participate in collaboration with other actors, both internally and externally.

For us, it is important that you participate in organizational development and collaborate to contribute to a well-functioning and qualitative operation. Your work is characterized by legal security, knowledge, and respectful interaction.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or another education deemed sufficient by the National Board of Health and Welfare for working with authority exercise concerning children and youth.
  • Experience in authority exercise within social work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish legislation and social service guidelines
  • Good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish
  • Driving license B, manual transmission

It is important that you are structured and can plan your work independently. At the same time, you need to be accustomed to quickly adapting and reprioritizing when changing circumstances require it. You make correct assessments and make well-motivated and legally secure decisions, even in acute situations. In your role, you will meet children, youth, and families in crisis, and therefore you need to remain calm and professional even in stressful and challenging situations.

About the Workplace
The unit consists of a unit manager with three target group-adapted teams. Each team is led by a senior social worker who provides support in professional execution, and the unit also includes an SSPF coordinator, specialist social worker, and placement coordinator as expert resources. We strive for close collaboration with all units of the administration and work together for a social service where it should be easy to come to us and get help. We continuously work on method development and competence-enhancing measures, and currently, there is active work to educate and implement the approach Signs of Safety within children and family.
