The Department of Work and Welfare consists of Individual and Family Care, Support, Service and Housing, as well as Education, Work and Prevention. We are a total of about 300 employees working salutogenically and solution-oriented with a knowledge base in scientifically grounded methods.

Our mission is to help and support individuals with social problems and/or disabilities, to work preventively and promote efforts to counteract exclusion and social problems, and through studies or employment find a way into working life towards self-sufficiency. From a child rights perspective, we help, support and protect children and young people so that they can live and develop under good and safe conditions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the Disability Care in Sölvesborg Municipality means that you, based on the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), create conditions for the user to live as independently and freely as others.

As a personal assistant, you will:

• Support and help the individual in daily life so that they can live like others.
• Create structure and security: By being responsive, positive, and engaged, you contribute to a good day for the user.

In your role, it is important that you are attentive, empathetic, and positive. Your ability to create security and well-being is crucial. You should enjoy working independently as it is a solitary job.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 14:00.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has education in care and nursing programs with a focus on disabilities, has completed the child and leisure program, or has other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have worked with clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with individuals within LSS.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities: humble, flexible, proactive, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Documentation and communication are an important part of daily work, and you therefore need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. If you lack a passing grade in Swedish at the high school level, a language test will be used to ensure competence; the recruiting manager can assess that a language test should be used even if there is a passing grade.

Computer skills are required. A B driver's license is required for the position.
