Summer Job as a Vacation Substitute at Vikvägen in Karlskrona

Vikvägen 5 and 7 are two group homes located in a picturesque area in Karlskrona. Each group home houses 5 individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Our working method is based on continuity and predictability, where we use methods such as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and low-arousal approaches.

We are now seeking summer substitutes for two of our clients who have a particularly high need for secure relationships and stable routines. To create the best possible care, each client has their own staff group, which minimizes the number of social contacts and contributes to a more uniform working method.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The individuals we support have different needs, ranging from care and communication support to daily chores and activities. The support is tailored together with the client and is documented in an implementation plan.

When do we need you? Our vacation periods are from mid-June to mid-August, but there may be needs even before and after the vacation period. The need for our service exists every day and at all hours of the day. Your schedule may therefore include shifts during the day-evening and/or night. We work both on weekdays and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and enjoys being active. You have an empathetic ability, good teamwork skills, and a positive attitude. A genuine interest in helping others is important, and experience in care, educational work, or working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism is an advantage, but not a requirement.

To work with us, you need to be at least 18 years old before the summer substitute position begins. A driver's license is desirable but not required. You also need to have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing to communicate and document effectively.
