RiB/Part-Time Firefighter FIP for Tenhult

Do you have a strong interest in helping others in various situations? We are now looking for a new RiB/part-time firefighter FIP for Tenhult.

Your New Job

As a part-time firefighter, you help create safety in the community. You will be dispatched during various emergency situations such as fires, traffic accidents, drownings, and other critical situations where lives may be at risk. Alerts are received via a pager that you carry during your standby.

The position means you have a fixed schedule with standby duty around the clock every fourth week and have access to a smaller emergency vehicle during your standby week (with options for individual swaps). You will begin rescue operations while waiting for the nearest rescue team. You belong to the part-time team in Huskvarna but are stationed in Tenhult. You will train and practice together with the staff in Huskvarna and will primarily be dispatched with them.

We Are Looking For You

• You have a high school education or equivalent.
• No prior knowledge of fire or medical care is required.
• For the position, you must understand and speak Swedish.
• Driver's license at least B. Presentation of driver's license category C no later than 18 months from the date of employment. We provide financial support for obtaining the license.
• You live and work in Tenhult or have the opportunity for remote work from home.
• Approval certificate from your regular employer allowing you to leave the workplace for alerts, training, and practice. The certificate must be presented upon request.

The Fire Service in Jönköping is a department with about 250 employees. Our mission is to contribute to a safe and secure community from a broad perspective with high demands to meet societal expectations. The Fire Service is responsible for fire protection issues, operational interventions, coordinating the municipality's crime prevention work, crisis preparedness, and accident protection. Good to Know

Fully healthy with good physical ability, swim competent, and prepared to undergo tests with satisfactory results according to our testing program.

We apply mandatory alcohol and drug testing upon hiring operational fire personnel according to a secured process conducted by the Municipal Health Service of Jönköping municipality.

Start date in the summer of 2025. Selection of applications may occur continuously during the application period.
