Norrlands Akademiska Tandvård is a basic unit within the Public Dental Service, where general dentistry, specialist dentistry, clinical education, and research are combined into a unified structure. The operations are conducted in close collaboration with the Department of Odontology at Umeå University.

The unit is characterized by clear mandates, long-term competence supply, and active development work where care, education, and research are integrated into daily operations. Responsibilities

As a Health Care Developer, you have a central and strategically important function within the unit. You contribute to the structured, coordinated, and long-term development of dental care, with a focus on equitable care, high quality, and good patient safety.

You report directly to the Business Manager and work closely with leadership and support functions. The role involves creating an overview, analyzing needs, and contributing with data that supports prioritization, decision-making, and follow-up, which helps develop working methods and identify long-term sustainable solutions.

You actively contribute to patient safety work, which includes handling and analyzing deviations in close collaboration with the unit's leadership.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as equivalent.

You have several years of experience working in dental care in the public sector and educational dentistry, as well as a good understanding of the dental care mandate within healthcare. Furthermore, you have experience in patient safety work as well as improvement and development work.

It is an advantage if you have experience in executive support or project management.

We are looking for you who work in a structured and analytical manner and who have the ability to handle complex issues with a clear holistic perspective. You take responsibility for driving issues forward and have a long-term approach in your work.

As a person, you are proactive and responsible, with good ability to communicate clearly and trustworthily. You are receptive, collaborate well with different target groups, and have a diplomatic approach with respect for others' knowledge and perspectives. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good digital skills with ease in learning new systems and tools.
