to apply for the job
Hemfrid continues to grow – and now we are taking our next big step. During the year, we are opening new offices in Umeå and Sundsvall, marking the launch of Region North. We are now looking for the leader who will build up and develop our new region. As Operations Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to lay the foundation for Hemfrid’s continued expansion in northern Sweden, build a strong leadership team, and create a profitable business with high ambitions. This is a role for you who wants to combine strategic leadership with operational responsibility – and who is motivated by the chance to build something from the ground up.
About Hemfrid & KEYTO Group
Hemfrid is Sweden’s leading company in home-based services and is a central company within the KEYTO Group. The group brings together some of the strongest service companies in the Nordics within home services, with over 4,500 employees in Sweden and the UK. This includes Hemfrid, Hemfixarna, GreenThumb, Veterankraft, Servly, and Enspecta, all with the ambition to develop the service experience of the future through innovation, entrepreneurship, and high quality.
We are on an exciting growth journey where we grow continuously both organically and through acquisitions, together with driven employees and strong entrepreneurial cultures. We are looking for you who, together with us, want to enable companies and colleagues to develop and grow in an expansive environment.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for Hemfrid’s operations in Region North. This is a strategic leadership role where you lead through other leaders and are responsible for the region’s development, growth, and profitability. You have personnel responsibility for the region’s Area Managers, who in turn lead our unionized employees and are responsible for daily operations. Initially, you will lead two Area Managers, but the ambition is for Region North to continue growing as we establish ourselves in more locations.
Although the role has a clear strategic focus, we are looking for a humble leader who thrives close to the operations. If needed, you are willing to support operational activities and cover for an Area Manager in case of absence, for example. You see it as a natural part of leadership to be present where the operations need you most.
Since you are responsible for several offices within a growing region, a present leadership style is crucial. The role therefore involves regular travel between our offices in Region North to stay close to the operations, support your Area Managers, and create good conditions for both employees and business.
In the role, you are responsible for:
- Leading, coaching, and developing the region’s Area Managers.
- Being responsible for the region’s results, budget, and the long-term development of profitability.
- Driving the establishment and continued growth of Hemfrid’s operations in Region North.
- Ensuring efficient operations with high quality, good customer experience, and engaged employees.
- Monitoring and developing operations through analysis of key performance indicators and business results.
- Driving change and improvement work as well as implementing new ways of working.
- Collaborating closely with other functions within Hemfrid to create the best possible conditions for the region’s development.
- Supporting operational activities and covering for an Area Manager if needed.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have experience leading other managers and who enjoy building organizations, developing people, and creating results. You are used to taking overall responsibility and are driven by combining strategic work with close operational leadership. As a leader, you are clear, secure, and communicative. You create engagement by providing direction, building structure, and being close to the operations. At the same time, you have a genuine interest in people and work actively to develop both your employees and the organization. You have a strong business understanding and are motivated by developing both people and operations. Following up on results, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving growth are a natural part of your leadership.
We believe you have:
- Several years of experience leading other managers with full personnel responsibility.
- Several years of experience with full P&L responsibility.
- Good habit of working goal-oriented and monitoring operations through relevant key performance indicators.
- Fluent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- A valid driver’s license (Category B).
- Experience from a similar industry or other personnel-intensive operations is highly meritorious.
- Experience with services for private customers is meritorious.
Practical Information
The position is full-time with a start date as agreed. The role involves responsibility for our operations in Region North, with our first establishments in Umeå and Sundsvall. Travel between offices is a natural part of the job, so we would prefer that you are living in, or between, one of our two expansion cities.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact the responsible recruiter at [email protected].
We look forward to your application! 🌟
