Support Educator for a full-time position at Åby Group Home in Västerhaninge

About the role
As a Support Educator, you work together with your colleagues in the direct care of our service users. This includes driving and applying Nytida’s framework for pedagogy and contributing to the development of personalized pedagogical plans for the users. The goal is to support users in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, strengthen their self-esteem, and enable a health-promoting life by acting as a role model and motivating physical activity.

Together with other staff members, you work to make days meaningful and content-rich. You perform care-oriented work, ensure pleasant premises, and participate in activities with the users. You will also mentor and support staff in social documentation and implementation plans, mentor new employees, and collaborate with the unit/operations manager in development projects. You report to the group manager and operations manager. Becoming a manager is also a potential future career opportunity for you. Working hours include daytime, evening, and weekends.

About the unit
Åby 1 and 3 are two group homes where individuals with autism, autism-like conditions, or developmental disabilities live. The homes are nestled in a quiet, nature-friendly area with easy access to public transport.

Your experience and knowledge
You are educated as a Support Educator from a University College or have a relevant higher education degree. You are proficient with computers, have experience with documentation, and possess good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional requirements include experience working with the LSS target group.

As a person, you have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people. You are responsible, meticulous, and thrive in a team environment. You are happy to share your experiences and support colleagues in pedagogy, documentation, and interaction.
