Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) / Special Pedagogue for Lindeborgsskolan! As a special pedagogue here, you will work in our EHT (Student Health Team) and be responsible for a work group where you strive to create conditions for accessibility, participation, and inclusion for our students. It is our primary goal that all our students have the opportunity to reach as far as they can. You will carry out standard documentation, such as pedagogical assessments, and be responsible for contact with external actors.

The position also includes teaching (special support) in grades 7–9.

Teamwork is important to us, and you will actively work to strengthen student health across the entire organization. Together with your colleagues, you will meet with school leadership regularly to ensure that appropriate interventions are implemented and analyses are conducted.

Qualifications

We expect you to hold a degree in Special Education. It is an advantage if you also have a teaching degree, preferably with qualifications in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language (SV/SVA). Previous experience as both a teacher and a special pedagogue is considered an advantage.

You have insight and knowledge in school development, school governing documents, and you utilize research and data in your daily work.

You have acquired knowledge and experience in supervision/training, student health work, and working with documentation, pedagogical investigations, extra adjustments, and special support/action plans.

You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize work towards the student(s) to create a calm study environment and a good learning atmosphere throughout the day. Based on evidence-based research, we expect you to be able to develop your work, and we want you to be familiar with using relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional attitude and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
