At Malmö Restaurant School, we are currently looking for a special needs educator (specialpedagog) for our adapted upper secondary school and strengthened Introduction Programme (IM). Work with us and help shape the future for the residents of Malmö and society at large!
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for you with a strong commitment to students' learning, health, and development. As a special needs educator, you will provide the school with special educational competence at all organizational levels and contribute to school development. The role involves working towards a well-functioning student health service to support students' development towards educational goals.
The main responsibilities include:
- Mapping the needs of students and groups
- Analyzing the school's work in relation to student learning
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions
- Coordinating handover processes for students entering and leaving the school
- Actively participating in pedagogical research, as well as using and disseminating research findings and methods to strengthen student learning
- Mentoring and training pedagogical staff and student assistants
- Participating in the school's student health teams
- Participating in the school's systematic quality work
- Participating in the cross-administrative network for special educational improvement work
- Documentation in Prorenata
Qualifications
Requirements:
- A subject teacher's degree focusing on grades 7–9 in compulsory school or upper secondary school, plus supplementary education as a special needs educator (300 ECTS credits)
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities
- Experience with external contacts and collaboration with staff, students, guardians, habilitation services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and Social Services.
- Good digital competence
- Good understanding of school goals and regulatory documents
- Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others.
About the Workplace
Malmö Restaurant School is a vocational upper secondary school located in central Malmö. Here, we educate students who see a future in the restaurant and food industry, with various specializations including cooking, catering, delicatessen, service, bakery, and charcuterie. The school offers national programs, introduction programs, as well as an adapted upper secondary school. We are not just a school; we also run two popular lunch restaurants and our own patisserie.
