About the position

We are currently looking for hourly substitutes for short-term assignments in classrooms, at school-age education centers (fritidshem), or as support staff in groups. We will contact you when a need arises, which means you must be able to give an answer with short notice. In your application, please indicate if you are also interested in working as a substitute in adapted primary school (grades 1-6 and 7-9), where you work in teams with smaller teaching groups.

You are confident, engaged, and have a big heart for the students. We expect you to be clear, structured, and have good collaboration skills. We welcome applicants who wish to try out the profession for a period before starting a teacher education program.

About the employment

You will be "called in" for hours when regular staff is absent, or provide extra staffing during limited periods. Since substitute positions sometimes arise with short notice, you must be able to be on-site within a maximum of 60 minutes.

This is not a full-time position, and you need to be prepared to start the hourly substitute position no later than August 10th.

When you apply for a job with us, we will ask you to show an extract from the Police Register. The extract we are looking for is "School or preschool". You need to request the extract yourself, which you can find on the police website: The Police Register - Request extract | The Swedish Police Authority (https://polisen.se).

Once you have received your extract, you present it to the recruiting manager. Note that the normal processing time at the police is approximately two weeks, so we recommend ordering the extract when you apply for the position. The fastest way to get your extract is to use the e-service and order it online with BankID.

At Tolvåkerskolan – adapted primary school, students go from grade 1 to 9. We share facilities with Tolvåkerskolan F-6 and Tolvåkerskolan 7-9, which allows students in the adapted primary school to have class affiliation also in the regular primary school. We work from the goal that all students should be inspired and challenged based on their prerequisites. They should feel the joy of success! We do this by creating well-being and developing each student into an independent and curious person. At the school, we work together to create a strong sense of "we".

Improving quality through follow-up, evaluation, and development is fundamental to us. We do this by continuously ensuring systematic quality work. Our work is based on collegial learning and a culture where we regularly meet colleagues to ensure good quality teaching with the student in focus. Every student has their own computer/tablet, and all classrooms are equipped with technical equipment. As a natural consequence of the 1:1 initiative, our educators have access to personal computers or tablets.
