Job Responsibilities

This autumn, the Primary School Administration is launching a mobile emergency school, and we are now seeking two employees for this operation.

A mobile emergency school temporarily works with students in grades 4-6 who require interventions and support based on disciplinary measures. The interventions last for four weeks within the regular school organization. The mobile emergency school must therefore be able to offer support and guidance in the student's regular context, as well as the possibility, in individual cases, of temporary placement outside the student's own school unit. A mobile emergency school may become relevant if a student repeatedly disrupts order, behaves very inappropriately, or has committed a more serious offense, and where other intervention measures within the regular school are insufficient or not possible, in order to ensure the safety and study environment for other students. The mobile emergency school will be organizationally located under Rörsjöskolan and will have close cooperation with the emergency schools at Mellersta Förstadsskolan/Kungsgatan and Fågelbackskolan/Gamla väster.

We are now seeking two special needs teachers with a comprehensive and broad subject competence in the school's theoretical subjects (mathematics, Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, social studies, and natural sciences) who wish to establish and conduct school operations for the mentioned target group in accordance with the Education Act and the curriculum. Education in accordance with the introductory chapter of the curriculum and teaching in accordance with the course plans are in focus, but you are also expected to have a holistic perspective on the student and the student's entire school day.

Your main task is to, together with your colleague and in collaboration with the students' home schools, conduct teaching for students who temporarily have an intervention within the framework of the mobile emergency school. You plan, implement, document, and evaluate the teaching according to current governing documents and in close cooperation with the student's regular school. You will also collaborate with other actors around the student, e.g., guardians, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), police, and social services. In all collaboration, you need to ensure and safeguard the school's mission while simultaneously monitoring the student's right to education and their prerequisites for this.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher and a special needs teacher with the eligibility to teach in several theoretical subjects for grades 4-6. You need to be interested in working with students with significant challenges during a limited period and have experience of successfully working with students in grades 4-6 who are in need of special support in teaching. Mapping competence is required for the assignment.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a study environment and good learning conditions for our students throughout their entire school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The assignment requires a flexible approach, initiative, good collaboration skills, and a positive view of students. We are looking for employees who are driving, have clear expectations of the students, and have the ability to adapt teaching so that all students achieve results. You also have the ability to professionally provide feedback on results to those concerned so that support can be put into practice. You are positive and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You are communicatively skilled and can adapt your communication to the target group. You are a secure and clear leader and have the ability to see the whole student. In your work, you are also creative, development-oriented, and solution-focused. You can plan your work based on the fact that the workload varies during the school year and have the ability to handle more stressful periods. You need to be able to work both independently and together with others, and you are expected to have a high degree of responsibility.
