Are you a highly skilled educator who wants to work on pedagogical development alongside your teaching duties? Then you might be the person we are looking for as we seek a Senior Teacher (First Teacher) in Mathematics/Natural Sciences for grades 7-9 at Möllevångsskolan.

Möllevångsskolan currently has four dedicated Senior Teachers who lead pedagogical development on behalf of the management team. In close consultation with the school leadership, you will have excellent conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives you are responsible for. Your development efforts will inspire your colleagues and contribute to higher goal attainment.

The school's commitment has been, and will remain for the coming years, to develop and ensure high quality in teaching as well as to actively promote attendance.

At the same time, the majority of your position involves teaching. You conduct varied, creative, and inspiring teaching for our students, both individually and in teams. You find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased goal attainment. You plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work.

The Senior Teacher works at their own workplace but also has a partly municipal/administrative-wide assignment by spreading good examples.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics/Natural Sciences for grades 7-9. To be considered for the Senior Teacher role, you must be able to document, through records, at least four years of well-regarded work after graduation involving teaching within one or more employments in the school system. Furthermore, we would appreciate experience in mentoring other teachers and driving pedagogical development processes.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional attitude and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

You are team-focused and value building trusting working relationships, where you also share your ideas and contribute to collegial learning. You adapt to a changing environment and have a solution-oriented attitude.
