About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a rewarding and fun education. Our program offerings include Plumbing and Property, Construction and Civil Engineering, Electrical and Energy, Vehicle and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role

We are looking for a vocational teacher for a permanent position at 40% hours, starting as agreed.

The position is scheduled for Mondays and Fridays and involves teaching within Child and Adolescent Healthcare (Gy11) as well as Child and Youth Care (Gy25) within the Care and Nursing program.

You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching with a focus on providing students with both theoretical knowledge and a clear connection to professional life. You will work closely with other teachers in the program and contribute to developing teaching based on regulatory documents and industry needs. The teaching covers students in both year 2 and year 3, meaning you will meet students at different levels of their education.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have relevant education and experience in the care of children and young people. You could be, for example:

• a licensed vocational teacher in care and nursing,
• a licensed nurse,
• a specialist nurse in child and youth care,
• a district nurse with experience in child health care or student health services,
• a midwife with relevant experience,
• a nursing assistant with long experience in child and adolescent healthcare,
• or have other relevant higher education and professional experience.

It is meritorious if you have experience from, for example, pediatric care, child health care, habilitation, student health services, child and adolescent psychiatry, or other operations where the care and treatment of children, young people, and relatives has been central.

Teacher certification and teaching experience are meritorious but not required. We also welcome those who work clinically and wish to combine their work with teaching two days a week. If you lack teacher certification, you will receive support in the teacher role, and together with the principal, a plan can be drawn up for complementary pedagogical education or another path to qualification.

You build good relationships, adapt teaching to different needs, and contribute to students developing knowledge, professional pride, and a professional attitude.
