Registered Nurse Wanted for Urology and Gynecology Department at Kirurgcentrum Umeå

The primary goal and task of Kirurgcentrum Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, covering both outpatient and inpatient care.

We are now looking for you who want to work as a nurse on the urological and gynecological ward. On this ward, we investigate, treat, and operate on people with gynecological and urological cancer. We also handle a large number of acute admissions, such as infections, urinary tract bleeding, pregnancy complications, and general surgical patients when space allows. Our nursing care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged and collaborate in teams to achieve the best possible results.

We are a small staff group with good cohesion and cooperation. At our workplace, we have a light-hearted atmosphere but can also share in complex situations. Here, you are offered the opportunity to work according to a working time model, so-called modified 3–3, which is designed to increase the possibility of recovery. In practice, this means you work approximately 88% while retaining your full-time salary.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse here, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You will work within a broad surgical area with highly specialized surgery and emergency care, where you play an important role in leading, prioritizing, and coordinating care work within your nursing team on the ward. We work in a team-based manner, and you collaborate closely with nurse colleagues, assistant nurses, doctors, and other specialized functions.

We want you to have a secure start with us, so we will design an individual introduction so that you feel you have a good opportunity to learn the work here. We adapt the length of the introduction to your knowledge and needs.

Qualifications

You are a registered nurse. We consider experience in hospital care to be meritorious.
