The primary goal and task of the Surgical Centre Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, covering both outpatient and inpatient care. The nursing care at the Surgical Centre is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged and collaborate for the best results. In collaboration with Umeå University, we also conduct successful research with both clinical and preclinical focus.

At the Endoscopy Unit of Norrland University Hospital, we operate a modern endoscopy service where we perform advanced examinations and treatments of the gastrointestinal tract. We work with gastroscopy to examine the stomach and upper gastrointestinal tract, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy to diagnose and treat diseases in the large intestine, as well as ERCP, etc., to examine and treat conditions in the bile ducts and pancreas. Our operations are characterized by high competence, patient focus, and close collaboration within the team.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

Here, you will have a varied job with both patient-facing and administrative tasks. In the reception work, you are an important support for the patient and assist the physician during endoscopic examinations, as well as being responsible for the cleaning of instruments. The administrative tasks include, among other things, telephone advice, invitations to the clinic, and handling waiting lists.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse and wish to continue developing and growing in your role as a nurse. You are positive, stress-resistant, flexible, and service-oriented. You have good communication skills and enjoy working both independently and in a team.

• Duration: 6 months or longer, start date by agreement.
