Do you believe that every person deserves care tailored to their specific needs? Do you also want a job where you take responsibility while feeling strong support from an engaged team? Then the role of Nurse at Skellefteå Municipality might be just right for you.

The Resource Team is now looking for two licensed nurses who want to work broadly across Skellefteå Municipality and contribute to close, secure, and person-centered care. Here you will find a role with variety, meaning, and strong support from colleagues who enjoy collaborative thinking.

Your Role

As a nurse in the Resource Team, your daily life will be both dynamic and meaningful. You will work throughout the municipality, serving as a crucial reinforcement in our care and nursing homes or within home care services. You are not the patient's permanent contact person; instead, you step into ongoing cases and work based on care plans and assessments made by the regular nurse. This means performing interventions, making new assessments when needs arise, and following up on measures to ensure the patient receives the right care at the right time.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Resource Team, other nurses around the municipality, as well as rehabilitation staff. You also collaborate with nursing assistants in the facilities where you are scheduled, where each professional group contributes their expertise to create safe and well-functioning care. In this role, you meet many different people and functions, working in continuous interaction with patients, relatives, and other actors – both within the municipality and the region. Together, you create the conditions for safe and high-quality care. Regardless of where you work, support is close by, while you hold significant responsibility for the execution of the tasks.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have professional experience in the field. You are confident in your profession and accustomed to independently handling the tasks included in municipal health and medical care. If you have relevant specialist education, we view this as an advantage.

In this role, you need to have a genuine interest in collaboration and thrive in an environment where dialogue, participation, and shared responsibility are a natural part of daily life. At the same time, you have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assessments.

As a person, you work in a structured and meticulous manner, with the ability to prioritize correctly even when conditions change. You are stable and considerate in your interactions and have a pedagogical ability that allows you to create security and understanding in various situations. We believe you will function best in this role if you are solution-oriented, responsible, and enjoy combining independent work with close teamwork.

A category B driver's license is required, as well as good proficiency in Swedish in both speech and writing. If you speak Finnish, Sami, or sign language, it is an asset in our operations.

The position is subject to legal requirements for background checks. Prior to a potential job offer, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Swedish Police Authority.

Your New Workplace

As a nurse in the Resource Team, you will operate from the current workplace when working in the city center. For shifts in outer areas, you will start and end your day at Tor, a care and nursing home located in the center of Skellefteå. The position currently primarily involves daytime work, but evening and weekend work are included, and night shifts may occur. Our priority is to be available and work preventively when patients need us the most.

As a nurse in our health and medical care unit, you will become part of an engaged team working to ensure every patient has a daily life characterized by security, care, and quality of life. Here, you will meet colleagues who are happy to share knowledge and support each other. Here you have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and person-centered care that truly makes a difference in people's lives. We offer you support in your development through individual onboarding, further education, and good development opportunities.

With us, you get a job that really means something – for both you and the people you meet. Read more about the role of Nurse in Skellefteå Municipality (https://skelleftea.se/sjukskoterska (https://skelleftea.se/sjukskoterska)).
