Nurse for the Neurology Department, Region Västerbotten
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for an equitable welfare system and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
At the Neuro-Head-Neck Centre (NHHC), approximately 650 people currently work with various aspects of the investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and injuries affecting the nervous system, brain, ears, nose, throat, and jaw surgery. Our patient base consists of individuals requiring highly specialized care from northern Sweden.
We are now looking for new colleagues for the Neurology Department.
About the Role
On the neurology department, we have both planned and acute operations where the patient is always the focus. We have a large patient flow, which means patients with short care periods. Patients receive high-quality care in a developing organization. The Neurology Department is an acute investigation and treatment department. We have two care teams on 12 care beds. Here, patients with various neurological diseases are treated, e.g., Parkinson's, Epilepsy, Motor Neuron Diseases.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your medical competence and work with advanced treatments in an organization that constantly strives for improvement.
Welcome to an engaged team where quality, development, and collaboration are in focus!
We apply the balance model (model 3). The model focuses on high participation in scheduling based on the organization's needs (day, evening, night, weekend included) and approximately 20% higher financial compensation for inconvenient working hours than central collective agreements.
2 position(s).
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.
Your tasks are varied as patient groups change. An important part of the work is to identify risks, assess, address, and evaluate the patient's various care needs. You should be able to work independently, have good collaboration skills, and be flexible in thought as well as action. You also thrive in a sometimes high-paced environment. Together with the rest of the team (doctors, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers), you, like the rest of us, contribute to a good work environment where we all thrive.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with an interest in neurology and want to develop in your professional role.
To be the person we are looking for, we see that you are engaged and have good collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate well. You enjoy working in a team where hierarchy is a key to being able to help, learn from, and lift each other. You are a present and secure person who enjoys varied tasks and changing intensity.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Roster/Schedule.
