We are currently looking for four dedicated nurses for Area South in Skellefteå Municipality. Do you believe that every person deserves care tailored to their specific needs? We are currently recruiting nurses for the following placements:

• A nurse placed within Bureå home care, combined with care and housing for the elderly in Bureå.
• A nurse placed within Lövånger home care, combined with care and housing for the elderly in Lövånger.
• A nurse placed at the care and housing facility Burträskgårdarna until August 2027. Thereafter, placement will be within home care and/or care and housing for the elderly in Bureå, Burträsk, or Lövånger.
• A nurse placed within Burträsk home care, combined with care and housing for the elderly in Burträsk.

There is an opportunity to base yourself from Bureå, Lövånger, Burträsk, or central Skellefteå, depending on what suits you best.

Your Role

As a nurse in Area South, you become part of a tight-knit team with experienced and engaged colleagues. Together, you provide primary care interventions in patients' homes – both in ordinary housing and in care and housing facilities. You will have a varied and meaningful job where you can use your competence and contribute to safe, high-quality care in the patient's home environment.

You are responsible for independently assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on health care interventions for patients aged 18 and above. The work is mobile and independent, where you often take initiative and prioritize between different interventions. You collaborate closely with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other important actors – both within the municipality and the region – to create the best possible conditions for safe and quality care.

We collaborate closely within our respective areas, which means you may sometimes need to perform interventions outside your regular placement.

We believe in trust, dialogue, and good relationships as the foundation for successful care. You have influence over your schedule and the opportunity to plan your working hours with a balance between work and leisure. Currently, the position involves working every sixth weekend and approximately four evening shifts during a six-week period. Please note that this may change over time.

Your Competence and Experience

You are a registered nurse, or about to become one, and preferably have experience working as a nurse. Good subject matter competence and a desire to continuously develop within your profession are important for success in the role. If you also have completed specialist education in relevant areas, it is an advantage.

We believe you will thrive in this role if you are independent, proactive, and responsible. You work carefully and systematically, have an eye for detail, and are stable and secure in your approach – meaning you can keep your cool and prioritize correctly even in a fast-changing and challenging work environment. As a person, you are pedagogical and considerate in your interactions and enjoy working closely in a team. A B-class driver's license is required.

For this position, you need good communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since Skellefteå Municipality is a Finnish and Sami administrative municipality, we consider it an advantage if you can speak Finnish or Sami. If you can also sign, we see it as an asset to the operations.

The position is subject to requirements for register extracts according to law. Prior to a potential job offer, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Swedish Police Authority.
