About the Unit
Defence Staff's Infrastructure Division (HQ FST SUPPORT INFRA)
The Defence Staff's Infrastructure Division is part of the Headquarters and leads and directs the procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of all infrastructure within the Swedish Armed Forces.
Through strategic leadership of planning for the expansion of buildings, facilities, and land areas, we enable the growth of the Swedish Armed Forces – in a way that protects the environment, sustainability, and our common national interests.
The Infrastructure Division also leads the work regarding national interest monitoring, environmental and sustainability issues, and environmental impact assessment permits.
The Infrastructure Division is divided into management, staff, and sections for planning, implementation, physical planning, environmental assessment, and environmental and sustainability. In addition, five (5) other units in different locations in Sweden are operationally managed by the division.
About the Position
As a Staff Assistant at the Defence Staff's Infrastructure Division, your primary task is to support the planning and implementation of the division's staff service. A central part of the staff service will be the analysis and distribution of incoming service tasks to the sections within the division.
In addition, you will work with staff administrative tasks such as drafting official letters, minutes, bookings, orders, updating collaboration areas, order requests, shift planning in PRIO, and preparation and compilation of material in various command systems.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current completed military service or GMU in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Completed Staff Assistant training within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Completed upper secondary education with passing grades or equivalent education considered equivalent by the employer
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Good familiarity with using most of the Microsoft Office applications in a computer environment
- Driver's license category B

Merits
- Experience as a staff assistant, intelligence assistant, or combat assistant
- Experience with FM command support systems (Prio, Vidar, SWECCIS, ISUS, SharePoint)
- Experience of previous or current employment within the Swedish Armed Forces
Other
Employment type: GSS-K. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

The Headquarters houses the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defence Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Division and independent supervision units.
An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
