As an operator at the 135th Security Squadron, you will become part of the Swedish Armed Forces' security service. You will work with technical intelligence collection, an area developing in step with a constantly changing threat landscape. This is a mission of central importance to Sweden's defense capability.
About the position
We strive to stay at the forefront of technical intelligence collection, where development keeps pace with a constantly changing threat landscape. The role involves both establishing and using systems in operational activities, as well as developing and procuring technical solutions.
We are looking for someone driven by problem-solving and who wants to influence how solutions are developed. Initiative, creative thinking, and responsibility are therefore qualities we value highly. The position offers meaningful and practical work where you contribute to creating sensor overlap in intelligence collection.

Main responsibilities
- Conduct qualified technical intelligence collection
- Manage and develop advanced technical sensors in both operational and daily contexts
- Work independently and in teams with a focus on common goals
- Develop new solutions and products that strengthen intelligence capabilities
Following an internal basic course, position-specific training will be provided prior to employment.
Desirable personal qualities

You have a strong technical understanding and interest in developing systems and methods, as well as the willingness to take on challenges even outside your current field of expertise. For us, integrity, personal maturity, and the ability to handle classified information are decisive.
Requirements
- Completed and approved military basic training
- Swedish citizenship
- B driver's license
- No allergy to fur, or mild allergy managed with medication
- Passing results in selection tests
Qualifications that are an advantage
- Experience with technical surveillance
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Good computer skills, especially within IT and networking

- Employment type: GSS agreement (Swedish Armed Forces reserve personnel agreement)
- Location: Kungsängen, The Life Guards (Livgardet)
- During the recruitment process, you will be called for an interview, physical fitness tests, and security clearance
- Employment start date by agreement. We apply the Swedish Armed Forces' rules regarding a 6-month probationary period.

The Life Guards (Livgardet) is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' largest units, with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel for international operations. We guard the royal castles, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing the Swedish military music tradition. Our main headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
