About the role

As an Enforcement Officer, your main tasks involve investigating assets and making decisions on appropriate enforcement measures. You play an impartial role, assisting those who are owed money while providing support and guidance to debtors.

You will start your employment as a trainee. After completing the required training and practical placement, you will be appointed as an Enforcement Officer. The approximately one-year training program includes law, customer service, and communication techniques.

The duties vary in scope and complexity. Handling your cases requires speed and efficiency without compromising quality. Guided by laws and regulations, you assess the case materials and make decisions. You work both in the office and on-site, where you investigate debtors' assets and carry out evictions.

All employees at Kronofogden contribute to crime prevention. Your responsibilities include identifying and preventing criminal attempts, as well as reporting suspected crimes to other authorities. As an Enforcement Officer, you may uncover various types of criminal activity during field operations and participate in collaborative efforts with other agencies. This can lead to stopping money laundering and disrupting organized crime.

Your qualifications:

  • A university or college degree with at least 180 ECTS credits (120 points under the old system) in law, economics, social sciences, or another equivalent higher education qualification.
  • A valid driver's license for cars.
  • Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Relevant work experience from similar roles at Kronofogden is desirable.

Good to know

The position is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work upon agreement with the employer.

Working in the Swedish civil service means adhering to the government's core values. Special requirements are placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We will ask about previous criminal records and performance issues during interviews. For final candidates, these questions will also be directed to your references. We also check for debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business restrictions. Any findings will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.

A position with us may require security clearance. A security investigation with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. Swedish citizenship is required for some security-classified tasks.
