The Child and Adolescent Habilitation Clinic serves children and adolescents up to 17 years old with persistent, congenital, or acquired disabilities, as well as their families. The children and adolescents who come to us may have mobility impairments, autism spectrum disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities. Our operations are based on interdisciplinary child- and family-centered work, meaning that the child and their relatives have full participation in the planning and evaluation of interventions. On the unit, we are approximately 30 employees within the professional groups of nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, psychologist, social worker, dietitian, doctor, leisure consultant, special educator, receptionist, and medical secretary.

WORK TASKS

We are now looking for a physiotherapy colleague for our unit. We offer you an important and varied job where you will have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents in important developmental stages in an environment with strong team anchoring and where a warm approach permeates the entire operation.

Your work tasks consist of assessment and treatment of children/adolescents with delayed and/or atypical motor development. You participate in the reception of new patients, in educational efforts and group activities, and provide information/guidance regarding motor training in daily activities, such as play and other physical activity, to children, parents, and their network. You also assess the need for, prescribe, trial out, and follow up on medical technical and orthopedic technical aids. The work is outward-looking and involves collaboration with other operations such as preschool/school, pediatric clinic, assistive technology operations, orthopedic technical operations, social services, and more.

In addition to direct patient work, administrative tasks such as booking patients and journal management are included. Furthermore, it also includes structuring and organizing the work independently and together with the rest of the team. Upon employment, you will receive an introduction and guidance from an experienced physiotherapy colleague who will support you in the daily work.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with evening duty one evening per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist/physiotherapist with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. We consider it meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people and/or working with people with persistent disabilities. Extra meritorious if you have previously worked with muscle diseases.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and initiate contact with children and young people. Furthermore, you believe, just like us, that it is important that children and young people are heard and that their opinions are considered and taken into account. You work independently, are flexible, and have the ability to handle situations with varying pace. In addition, you have a good ability to organize and structure the work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability for the position.
