Make a difference. Every day.
Do you want a job where your competence, commitment, and interpersonal skills truly matter? Where you have the opportunity to help children and young people when life is at its hardest while simultaneously creating hope for a better future? We are now looking for three nurses for our emergency department and emergency clinic.
At Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) inpatient care in Malmö, you will have a meaningful and socially important assignment. Every day, we meet children and young people in crisis and work together to create safety, stability, and paths forward. We believe that hope is created in relationships. A respectful meeting, a secure presence, and a person who is willing to stay when things are difficult can be the beginning of a change. Therefore, your interpersonal skills are one of our most important interventions.
CAP inpatient care in Malmö provides specialized psychiatric inpatient care for children and young people up to 18 years old from all of Scania. On our emergency department and emergency clinic, we meet patients who need acute psychiatric care, for example, in cases of serious suicide risk, life-threatening eating disorders, acute symptoms of mania, delusions, or psychosis.
We have recently moved into our modern and purpose-built premises in Hyllie. Our new premises give us better conditions to continue developing our operations with a focus on patient safety, working environment, and a secure care environment for both patients and staff.

Job Description
We welcome both experienced nurses and those new to the profession. Here, you have the opportunity to find your place, develop professionally, and contribute to an operation where your commitment makes a difference.
The work requires both medical competence and human presence. You need to be able to create safety in the acute meeting, build trust, and meet each young person from where they are. Here you can use your full competence and be an important part of a young person's path to recovery.
You will work, among other things, with:
- Medication management, sampling, and record keeping
- Acute assessments and nursing interventions
- Monitoring and follow-up of patients' mental and physical health conditions
- Collaboration with on-call doctors and other professions
- Creating structure, safety, and continuity during the night
- Handling and prioritizing acute situations and contributing to a safe care environment.
Our work is based on respect, care, responsibility, and professionalism. We believe in the equal value of every person and that all patients should be met with dignity, sensitivity, and understanding. We want to be an operation where we see the whole person behind the symptoms and where we together create care characterized by safety, participation, and hope.
We are in an exciting phase of development where we together shape the future of acute psychiatry for children and young people. For you as an experienced nurse, there is an opportunity to contribute your knowledge, influence our working methods, and help build an even stronger operation.
In the near future, our focus will be on further strengthening our work with good interpersonal skills and safety for our patients. We want to get even better at meeting children and young people when they are in the most difficult moments. As part of this work, we will develop working methods regarding quiet rooms and safety plans. By identifying needs and strategies together with the patient, we want to create better conditions for safety, participation, and recovery.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. Specialist education in psychiatry is considered an advantage. We are looking for you who are empathetic with a professional attitude, have good collaboration skills, and can see the whole picture around an individual. You reflect on how your own interpersonal skills can affect the patient's experience and see every meeting as an opportunity to create safety and give hope. Furthermore, you are development-oriented, engaged, and good at creating good relationships. Furthermore, you have experience and interest in working both independently and across teams.
