At AVA, we currently have 26 care beds and two intermediate care beds (IMA). The care consists of handling patients with an expected short length of stay. We care for patients with varying medical and surgical care needs, ranging from young people to multi-morbid elderly patients who have fallen ill acutely. AVA is a department where, as a nursing assistant, you have an important function in the care chain where your competence is constantly developing.

DUTIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome an experienced nursing assistant to our team.

As a nursing assistant at AVA, you ensure the patient's total needs are met, where patient care is of utmost importance. Your main duties involve being responsible for the handling of patients in the care chain, but also helping your colleagues in all care chains. Basic care is priority number one, but you also interact with various technical equipment such as heart monitoring and respiratory support. We work continuously with competence development for our employees.

At AVA, we work together in teams, and everyone is responsible for ensuring the patient receives the best possible care. Part of your responsibility as a nursing assistant is care, checking vital parameters, participating in certain examinations, and close collaboration with the doctors.

Working hours can be scheduled during the day or night, weekdays as well as weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Furthermore, we see that your computer skills are good. Familiarity with venous and capillary blood sampling is a requirement for the position. We would like you to have experience working in a hospital, but it is not a requirement. Experience with telemetry and good medical and surgical experience are meritorious.

Since this is an emergency care department, it is of great importance that you can work independently, have a well-developed social competence, and enjoy working in a group. To succeed in the position, it is also required that you can work in a generalist manner, have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. Furthermore, you can work in parallel with different tasks and have the ability to reprioritize. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
