The habilitation service aims to facilitate life for individuals with permanent disabilities and their relatives. The disability may be related to mobility impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. Our service is directed at children and young people up to the age of 17 and is based on interdisciplinary, family-centered teamwork.

We are located in beautiful Ängelholm, close to both the sea and beautiful nature. We have good commuting options, with a walk from the train station taking approximately ten minutes. Our clinic is located in the new and purpose-built facilities on the northern hospital area. At the habilitation clinic for children and young people in Ängelholm, we are approximately 25 employees working in an interdisciplinary manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a psychologist, you provide support, counseling, supervision, and treatment to children, young people, and their parents. Interventions can be given both individually and in groups where we meet the patients at the habilitation center, at home, in preschool/school, or digitally via phone or video calls. You participate in planning interventions together with children, young people, families, and other network members. Additionally, you conduct psychological assessments and provide psychological treatment related to managing the disability. You collaborate with other actors such as preschool/school, social services, and child and adolescent psychiatry, especially the clinic in Ängelholm.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Since travel is included in the position, you must also have a valid B-driver's license. We consider it meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people and/or work within habilitation, as well as if you have previously worked with people with disabilities. You are used to working with different IT systems, and since we now provide many interventions digitally, it is also important that you have an openness to digital healthcare contacts.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have good cooperation skills and an interest in working both in interdisciplinary teams and across professional boundaries. You are secure in your professional role and plan, structure, and organize your work independently. In your work, you take initiative and are flexible in your approach towards both patients and colleagues. The habilitation service conducts habilitation and rehabilitation within publicly driven child, adolescent, and adult habilitation. Assistive devices have the mandate to handle assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the administration, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
