The Red Cross Folk High School is now looking for a care teacher who wants to teach on our newly launched course, "Introduction to Care and Elderly Care with Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) Foundation". This course prepares participants for work within the care and elderly care sector, with a focus on language-strengthening efforts. The school has a close collaboration with the home care service in Skärholmen, and participants will be offered summer jobs in their operations. The role involves close cooperation with other teachers in the team and the school as a whole.
The course is aimed at people who speak Swedish as a second language, and we are looking for someone with experience teaching this target group. You will be responsible for the participants' learning and development together with the teaching team. We are looking for you who are engaged, enjoy working in a team, and want to help develop the course together with us and local actors within the care and elderly care sector.
About the school
The Red Cross Folk High School is part of the Swedish Red Cross. The school is located in Skärholmen to meet educational needs primarily at the local level. We educate approximately 170 participants per year. Through our folk high school activities, we contribute to the Swedish Red Cross's vision of a humane Sweden in a sustainable world. In addition to our folk high school activities, we want to develop local collaboration to a greater extent to strengthen the local community through cooperation and activities that respond to the needs of the local community. We aim to develop our position as "a school in the middle of the village". The Red Cross Folk High School is based on the Red Cross's fundamental principles, meaning that human rights and the equal value of all people permeate all the school's courses.
Qualifications:
- Professional teacher degree in care and elderly care
- At least 2 years of experience from adult education
Merits include:

About the position
The position is a fixed-term employment at 50%, running from August 2026 to 2028-06-16. Salary according to agreement. We welcome your application no later than August 10, 2026.
