Lövgärdesskolan is located in northern Angered, surrounded by beautiful nature. Here, students from year 4 to year 9 attend school. The school is part of the Lövgärdet center, with good access to public transport. The school is adjacent to the scenic area of Vättlefjäll, which invites outdoor activities and offers opportunities to use nature in teaching.

Responsibilities

This autumn, we are looking for a teacher to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences in year 5. To promote student learning and create a secure teaching environment, we strive to double-staff lessons. This is a fixed-term position running during Autumn 2026 / Spring 2027.

You will be responsible for planning and conducting teaching in your subjects. You will also be part of year-level and subject teams where you, together with your colleagues, participate in the development of operations. The role also includes being a mentor.

If you are a recent graduate, you are offered an introduction program for new teachers through the Gothenburg Primary and Secondary Education Authority's Teacher Academy. The introduction provides you with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and have a teaching degree to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences for years 4–6.

As a person, you gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from different perspectives. You are good at inspiring and creating engagement among both your colleagues and students. You see your own role in workplace environment work and take responsibility for making it as good as possible for everyone.

You know that treatment is important in all situations, but especially when meeting students who have a particular need for clarity and predictability. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You proceed from the equal value of all people and create a good atmosphere in interactions. You are motivated by clear goals and are proactive in turning goals into concrete action.
