Are you a skilled writer with a feel for language, target audience, and conversion-focused content?

Birger is looking for a Copywriter / SEO Writer who wants to help build the content for a new digital brand in the construction and renovation industry.

This role is perfect for you if you enjoy writing clear, engaging, and credible texts, but also want to develop your understanding of SEO, search behavior, and digital growth.

You will work practically with researching, writing, publishing, and optimizing content for the website. This may involve articles, guides, service pages, local landing pages, and conversion-focused web copy that helps visitors understand their options and take the next step.

This is not an observational internship. You will take responsibility for your own texts and track how the content impacts visibility, traffic, and customer inquiries.

What you will do

  • Write and optimize texts for the website
  • Create articles, guides, service pages, and local landing pages
  • Write clear and conversion-focused web copy
  • Adapt messages according to target audience, search intent, and purpose
  • Conduct research for new texts and content areas
  • Work with headlines, introductions, body text, metadata, and calls to action
  • Publish and update content in the website's CMS
  • Optimize existing texts based on ranking, traffic, and user behavior
  • Ensure consistent tone and high linguistic quality
  • Fact-check and quality-assure content
  • Analyze competitors' messages, content, and positioning
  • Work with internal linking and content structures
  • Contribute to content plans and editorial calendars
  • Use AI tools as support for research, ideation, and content production
  • Collaborate with people within SEO, web development, and digital marketing

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a strong interest in copywriting, content, and digital communication
  • Has excellent ability to write clearly, correctly, and engagingly
  • Can adapt language, tone, and message to different target groups
  • Enjoys doing research and diving into new topics
  • Is meticulous about structure, facts, and linguistic quality
  • Is curious about SEO, search behavior, and digital marketing
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for own tasks
  • Is structured, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Wants to develop within copywriting, SEO, and content marketing

Very good Swedish in both speech and writing is a requirement for the role.

Advantageous but not required

  • Studies in copywriting, communication, journalism, media, marketing, or similar
  • Experience writing web copy, articles, guides, or campaign texts
  • Experience with SEO-optimized content or keyword analysis
  • Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms
  • Experience with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
  • Basic understanding of conversion optimization and UX
  • Experience with AI tools for research and content production
  • Interest in construction, renovation, housing, or consumer issues
  • Experience from startup, agency, or entrepreneurial environments
