Your role with us

As a Leisure Strategist, you work with many internal contacts throughout the municipal organization and externally with other relevant parties. You are part of a small and efficient team where you take significant individual responsibility while collaborating closely with your colleagues, driven by the desire to develop the future of leisure and association life.

The Leisure Strategist engages in extensive dialogue and collaboration with local associations within the sports and leisure sector. The role is a combination of strategic and operational work, where understanding and knowledge of the role of sports and association life in society is central. This requires good insight into local, regional, and national perspectives.

Conducting investigations, analyses, and evaluations within the sector is part of your work and requires strong skills in handling such assignments. Your duties also include working with grants to associations and various facility issues. You will also spend time on external systems such as Rbok, economy, and case management. Furthermore, you plan direct and promotional initiatives that strengthen the municipality's residents, viewed from a holistic perspective on the importance of leisure time.

The role of Leisure Strategist also involves responsibility for various tasks, such as camp operations, investment grants, and the development of routines, as well as work with associations and other collaborative functions to create good conditions for a long-term sustainable leisure life in Kristianstad Municipality. Here, you will help turn visions and plans into reality, drive development work, and create conditions for a leisure time that is accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Who are we looking for?

We prefer that you have a university degree in sports science or leisure science, or another university degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in the sports and/or leisure sector at a strategic level. Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage.

You are good at seeing opportunities, thinking strategically, and turning the organization's goals into reality. You handle the Office suite naturally as part of your work, and it is a prerequisite that you have previously worked in Rbok or another grant and booking system. Since communication and documentation are part of the role, you must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. A B-category driver's license is required to navigate the municipality easily when needed.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and network-oriented. You easily create and maintain good relationships, work in teams, and enjoy collaborating with many different actors in varying contexts and functions. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and able to prioritize and handle multiple processes simultaneously. You possess the ability to work strategically and focused to realize the organization's goals. You easily identify and develop positive and boundary-pushing visions and plans, thinking outside the box to innovatively develop methods and strategies.

As a colleague, you are empathetic, unpretentious, and recognize and reward others' thoughts and contributions. Team spirit and close collaboration with colleagues are important to you, but you also have no problem working independently. The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for the municipality's investments in areas such as libraries, swimming and sports facilities, Kristianstad Theatre, Kulturhuset Barbacka, Kulturkvarteret, youth clubs, and association grants. We work across a broad field and currently have approximately 100 employees within the operations.

Salary

Kristianstad Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.

Start Date

Start date as soon as possible, with a duration until at latest 2027-01-31. With possible extension. Interviews will take place during weeks 34 and 35, and we aim for a quick appointment.
