Folkuniversitetet offers courses and lectures in areas such as language, economics, creative arts, writing, health, and sustainable development. We are now looking for more course leaders in Swedish as a Foreign Language.

We are currently seeking additional course leaders to teach Swedish as a Foreign Language to adults. The courses are held in the evenings, either on-site or online, and the workload can vary between 3 and 6 hours per week, as well as fluctuate over time. We are located in central premises at Järntorget.

About the assignment

The role involves independently planning, conducting, and following up on your course in accordance with a set curriculum. Our participants are motivated, and the courses maintain a fast pace. The courses are designed based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and we offer courses at all levels, from A1 to C1. You may also teach more specialized courses, for example, focusing on grammar, pronunciation, conversation, and writing.

Your skills and background

We are looking for someone with excellent proficiency in Swedish, and we prefer candidates who have studied Swedish as a second language at the university level. Experience in teaching adults or other group leadership experience is advantageous. It is important that you enjoy conveying knowledge, both linguistically and culturally.

As a course leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor teaching to individuals and bring out each person's potential. About the employment

Project-based employment paid by the hour, starting in autumn 2026.
