We are now looking for a substitute vocational teacher for the Care and Nursing Programme at Birger Sjöberggymnasiet.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are a vocational teacher, nurse, or assistant nurse with the qualifications to teach within the Care and Nursing Programme at the upper secondary level, and who have competence in Anatomy and Physiology, Emergency Medicine, and Health and Care. A small part of the position may also involve teaching in Vocational Introduction Care and Nursing, one of our Introduction Programmes.

As a vocational teacher at Birger Sjöberggymnasiet, you are part of the work team for the Care and Nursing Programme. The work team shares responsibility for all students on the programme. Work with students takes place in close collaboration between vocational teachers and teachers of general upper secondary subjects. Teaching in vocational courses and mentoring these students are prioritized tasks, as well as conducting workplace learning visits (APL) and collaborating with external actors in the field. We assume you want to contribute to further developing the Care and Nursing Programme and Birger Sjöberggymnasiet.

You need to be confident in working with young people and also demonstrate a good ability to motivate students in their learning, communicating in a positive, attentive, and clear manner. In your teaching, it is evident that you have a holistic view of student learning, for example by inviting cross-disciplinary work where vocational subjects and general upper secondary subjects meet. You are skilled at building good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are driven by what can be achieved through collegial learning and participate in developing the programme, the school, and the work team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Teacher, Nurse, or Assistant Nurse with qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology, Emergency Medicine, and Health and Care.

Merits

We consider it a merit if you are experienced and enjoy working with young people. You are engaged, creative, and have good knowledge in your subjects. You also have the ability to motivate students in their learning and communicate in a positive, attentive, and clear manner. You build good relationships with students, parents, and staff, and actively participate in the development work of the work team and the school.

• A substitute position of 25% for the entire school year or alternatively 50% for the autumn term will be filled if an employee starts a sought-after education.
