In Upplands-Bro Municipality, we are approximately 2,000 employees dedicated to providing our residents and visitors with the best possible service and experience. Here, you contribute to building a municipality where a holistic view, engagement, and professionalism permeate the organization, and together we carry out our shared societal mission.
Do you want a central role in the municipality's governance while helping to develop future working methods? We are now looking for you who wish to combine qualified budget work with business development, project management, and system administration in the role of Budget Coordinator.
About the role:
As a Budget Coordinator, you play a key role in the municipality's joint work with budgets, forecasts, and follow-ups. You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing the budget process – and ensuring that analyses and decision-making materials are of high quality.
The role is both operational and strategic. You work closely with operations, management, and other key functions, driving the development of processes, working methods, and system support.
The Finance Department consists of the accounting unit, the procurement unit, and the finance and control unit. Together, they ensure robust financial governance that supports the goals of operations and the municipality's political priorities. As Budget Coordinator, you will report to the Deputy Finance Manager and belong to the finance and control unit.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the budget, forecast, and follow-up processes.
- Produce analyses, forecasts, and decision-making materials.
- Support managers and operations in financial planning.
- Drive the development of processes and control models.
- Lead and participate in development and digitalization projects within finance and business control.
- Responsible for system administration of the municipality's future budget and forecasting tools.
- Act as a link between finance, operations, and IT.
- Collaborate with controllers and other key functions.
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic education in economics or an education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience with budget work, forecasts, and financial follow-up.
- Experience in coordinating processes or working closely with governance.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
- Experience from municipal or politically governed operations.
- Experience in project management or business development.
- Experience with resource allocation models.
- Experience in system administration or working in budget and forecasting systems.
To succeed in this role, we believe you are structured, meticulous, and analytical. You take responsibility, drive work forward, have good collaboration skills, and build trust through your communication skills and expertise. You have the ability to explain complex situations in a pedagogical way and thrive in a role with both operational and development-oriented tasks.
We offer:
- A central assignment in the organization's governance and development.
- The opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and systems.
- Close collaboration with management and operations.
- An organization that invests in development and sustainable governance.
We know that success is built on employees who thrive, are well, and have the opportunity to develop. As part of this work, there are various development programs, the possibility of hybrid work when the job allows, a wellness allowance, and the option to exchange the holiday day supplement for more holiday days. Good commuting opportunities. Your future workplace is located just 1 minute from Kungsängen commuter train station.
