Do you enjoy creating structure in complex contexts, driving processes forward, and getting various competencies to work towards a common goal? Are you skilled at making ideas, plans, and assignments feasible – and ensuring they are actually implemented? Then we need you! We are now looking for a Production Manager who wants to help develop future education, projects, and innovation environments at Campus Nynäshamn.
Responsibilities
As a Production Manager, you will become a key person in the Development Unit, working to plan, coordinate, and drive complex productions from start to delivery. A large part of the assignment is within our annual application project for education to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (YH). The project covers national vocational education, YH programs, and YH courses. You will have a leading and coordinating role in the work with the renewal of our existing education programs.
You will hold together processes where education managers, project managers, writers, management representatives, and other functions contribute with different parts. You plan and follow up on deliveries, handle dependencies and risks, and ensure that the work results in a cohesive, high-quality delivery.
The role involves no personnel responsibility, but requires that you are skilled at leading others without being a manager. You create momentum through clarity, trust, and follow-up, and act when something risks stalling. You belong to the Development Unit but work very closely with the YH operations and especially our education managers for parts of the assignment.
The assignment is broader than education applications. You may also work on other projects and applications, including externally funded and international projects, as well as production management of larger events, meeting places, and activities within our development areas.
The role also includes own practical and administrative work. You need to enjoy switching between holding together complex productions and doing what is required yourself for a good delivery. The work includes among other things:
- leading and coordinating production and application processes
- planning and following up on schedules, activities, dependencies, and deliveries
- coordinating participants and clarifying responsibilities and expectations
- following up on progress, handling risks, and ensuring quality and delivery
- further developing and anchoring working methods and processes according to the principle of continuous improvement
- production managing other projects, activities, and larger events, as well as being local support for document and case management in Public 360.
About the Workplace
Campus Nynäshamn is part of the Business and Labor Market Administration and is the municipality's strategic learning center for higher education, lifelong learning, and innovation-driven development. You will become part of the Development Unit, where we develop new education, projects, and collaborations together with other parts of Campus and external actors.
The operations are in a dynamic development phase with investments in areas such as sustainable transition, digitalization, internationalization, and externally funded projects. We are also strengthening Campus Nynäshamn's role in the regional innovation system and developing new meeting places for learning, collaboration, and innovation. We work at the intersection of education, working life, societal development, and innovation.
What we are looking for in you
To succeed in the role, you have:
- post-secondary education in areas such as project management, production, education, communication, or other relevant fields
- experience in production or project managing complex processes with multiple participants
- experience in independently planning and following up on parallel activities, schedules, and dependencies
- experience in leading and creating momentum without formal managerial authority
- very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- good digital competence
- ability to switch between leading and coordinating the work yourself and having an assisting role when the project manager or your nearest manager leads the work.
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience working with YH applications, especially renewals, and good knowledge of vocational higher education and the Swedish Council for Higher Education's educational forms
- experience with project or funding applications within public operations, national programs, or EU programs
- experience in event management or other complex production with many participants
- experience in education production, process development, and quality assurance
- experience working in complex organizations or collaboration between several organizations
Personal qualities we are looking for
You are very skilled at creating structure, prioritizing, and keeping timeframes even when conditions change. You are self-initiating and proactive, seeing when something risks stalling and driving the work forward. You are skilled at leading without being a manager. You create engagement, clarify responsibilities and expectations, and get people with different roles and perspectives to work towards common goals. At the same time, you are responsive, relationship-building, and clear. You build trust, collaborate well, and can make demands without losing the relationship. You are quality-conscious, have good judgment, and are unpretentious. You enjoy switching between the big picture and details and roll up your sleeves when needed. For you, it is more important that the team and the delivery succeed than who gets the credit.
What we offer you
With us, you get a varied role and the opportunity to contribute to how we develop our working methods, education, projects, and collaborations. You become part of an unpretentious team where different competencies contribute to the whole.
- We offer access to a gym. You also receive a wellness hour or wellness allowance.
- You have the opportunity to exchange vacation and pension.
- We have an active staff association where you can rent cabins in the mountains and in the archipelago.
- There is an opportunity for remote work part of the time.
Our recruitment process
We apply continuous selection and use a competency-based recruitment method. Diversity is an asset, and we welcome all applicants. Nynäshamn Municipality has replaced the cover letter with selection questions relevant to the position. The answers and your CV form the basis for whether you are qualified to proceed in the process. We look forward to your application!
