About the Role

We are looking for a specialist in naval compliance, quality, and requirements management who wants to contribute to ensuring our software systems are structured, traceable, and meet both internal and external requirements.

The role is not primarily about developing software, but rather about:

• Interpreting, breaking down, and clarifying requirements,
• Ensuring the right structure and working methods,
• Supporting the organization in producing clear, complete, and accurate documentation.

You will become a key person in creating robust, verifiable, and customer-adapted system solutions for marine applications, often in international and security-classified contexts. A key focus area is ensuring clear documentation and full traceability from requirements to the final solution and verification – to demonstrate that both processes and deliveries meet the set requirements.

You will be part of the team developing control systems for marine propulsion solutions, collaborating closely with developers, quality engineers, test engineers, and project management.

The position is preferably located in Kristinehamn.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that processes, working methods, and documentation meet requirements related to naval compliance and associated quality standards
• Work with requirements gathering, analysis, and structuring of system and software requirements
• Break down and clarify requirements so they are usable for development and verification
• Ensure traceability throughout the entire lifecycle
• Participate in reviews and activities related to verification and validation
• Support teams and projects in matters related to quality, compliance, and documentation
• Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and working methods
• Collaborate cross-functionally between technology, testing, and operations

As we work with customers in the marine defense sector, citizenship questions will be part of the recruitment process. The position requires you to undergo and pass a security clearance check according to the Security Protection Act before employment can be offered.

About You

We see that you have

• University or college education in systems science, electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field
• Experience in requirements management and documentation in complex technical environments
• Good understanding of quality and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, EN/AS 9100, or equivalent within the defense industry)
• Very good ability to communicate requirements clearly and pedagogically
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits include

• Experience from the defense industry or other regulated/mission-critical environments
• Experience working with traceability, verification, and validation of software systems
• Knowledge of AQAP, MIL-STD, or similar defense standards
• Experience with systems for managing documents, requirements, cases, and CAD
• Knowledge of system development, especially embedded systems
