Your Role

We are looking for an engaged and experienced Software Architect, or a Senior Software Developer with architectural expertise, for an exciting international collaboration project within an advanced long-range robotics system. As a key member of our dynamic and agile teams, you will work closely with world-leading actors and contribute to the further development of an already technologically leading product.

In the role of Software Architect, you hold a central position in the development of an advanced planning system featuring GIS functionality, complex system structures, and high performance requirements. The system is facing several major upgrades, where you will contribute by developing and driving technical solution proposals and making well-informed architectural decisions.

You work closely with the agile Product Owner in prioritizing technical initiatives and conduct concept studies prior to strategic decisions. The role also involves creating and maintaining a clear overall picture of the product's development, weighing together requirements for functionality, performance, and long-term manageability.

You collaborate with both internal teams and external suppliers and partners, ensuring that architecture and technical solutions maintain a high and consistent quality.

At the same time, you are an active part of the daily development work and work closely with the teams with a long-term focus on the system's performance, testability, and maintainability. Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues is a natural part of the role, and you actively contribute to the team's development through learning and experience sharing.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who want to have a key role in further developing our product to meet new technical challenges and functional requirements, such as system integration, distributed systems, and calculations on graphics cards. The work is carried out in an agile environment with continuous integration and places high demands on personal responsibility, while you also help develop working methods, processes, and technical solutions.

You have at least seven years of experience in software development in agile teams, preferably in a leading role such as Lead Developer or equivalent, and possess very good programming skills. You also have experience in software testing and working with CI flows.

As a person, you are a communicative team player who thrives in collaboration with others but also dares to challenge and try new solutions. An important quality in the role is that you are willing to share your knowledge and support your colleagues' learning and development. Furthermore, you are accustomed to working according to agile methods and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. For us, your personal qualities are part of the overall assessment in this recruitment.

You also have documented experience in software architecture and a solid background in application development, high-performance systems, or related areas.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
