We are now looking for an additional Technical Specialist in Building Automation (Control and Monitoring) for the Signal and Security Unit within Regionfastigheter.

Your workplace

The Signal and Security Unit consists of technical specialists responsible for various technical systems within Regionfastigheter. The unit's assignments include, among other things, building automation, technical security systems, communication networks, and patient signal systems.

Work within the unit is based on clearly defined areas of responsibility, close collaboration between specialists, and a working method that creates stability and continuity over time. Within the unit, great emphasis is placed on cooperation and collaboration.

Your responsibilities

As a technical specialist in building automation (control and monitoring), you are responsible for the technical area from a long-term and strategic perspective, focusing on function, management, security, robustness, and development.

You work closely with a colleague in the same specialist area, in collaboration with other technical specialists, operations, and external actors, translating technical competence into common working methods, standards, and governing documents.

The role includes responsibility for system management, including the development and follow-up of standards, guidelines, and instructions that ensure a robust, secure, and uniform system structure. You also support projects as well as the operations and management organization within the technical area.

You work with system structure, integration, and information flows, ensuring collaboration between building automation, IT environments, and networks.

The work includes maintenance and action planning with a focus on operational safety, availability, and energy efficiency, as well as participation in energy optimization and technical improvements.

You participate as an expert in several of Region Värmland's larger construction projects throughout the entire process and are responsible for driving your own technical and development initiatives as needed.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who have education or documented work experience in building automation (control and monitoring systems) or equivalent. You have experience in at least one of the following areas: commissioning, programming, management, operation/maintenance, or service.

You have a good understanding of how building automation systems interact with IT environments, networks, and underlying infrastructure.

Meritorious is experience from construction projects, SCADA systems (e.g., Citect), energy optimization, and technical systems in buildings (HVAC). Experience in design, installation coordination, project management, and work with operation and maintenance documentation is also meritorious.

You are confident in your professional role and work in a structured and analytical manner. You have a good ability to see the big picture and long-term perspective in technical systems and thrive with independent work but also have the ability to collaborate with other specialists.

You can structure complex technical information and express it clearly in the form of documentation, instructions, and guidelines. You are engaged, curious, and interested in development within building automation and related technical areas. You should also have a good understanding and a natural interest in security and robustness issues within the area.

The work requires that you have very good ability to express yourself clearly and correctly in speech and writing in Swedish. A B-driver's license is required as the position involves travel within the region.
