Do you want to help develop the ability to maintain socially critical operations during crises, societal disruptions, and heightened alert levels? We are now looking for a Readiness Coordinator who wants to take a central role in the administration's work within the readiness sector and civil defense. The Readiness Coordinator is organized within the Security and Readiness Unit.

Responsibilities

As a Readiness Coordinator, you will develop and coordinate the administration's work within civil defense, readiness, and continuity planning. The administration is responsible for the socially critical areas of water, sewage, and waste, and readiness issues are present in all parts of the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and lead the administration's readiness group, which consists of members from all departments.
  • Be responsible for high-alert planning by contributing to the development of readiness plans, war organization, and war placement work.
  • Coordinate and develop systematic continuity management work to ensure that operations can be maintained even during disruptions.
  • Develop and coordinate work within the resource functions the administration is responsible for, act as the administration's representative in the network regarding the city's other resource functions, and create conditions for effective collaboration between relevant actors.
  • Work with supply readiness by mapping, analyzing, and specifying requirements for business-critical goods and services to ensure the administration can function even under pressured conditions.
  • Be responsible for developing the administration's training and exercise plan, as well as conducting exercises in accordance with this plan.
  • Inform and educate within both the readiness and continuity sectors throughout the entire administration.
  • Manage and train in emergency communication in the form of RAKEL and act as the administration's representative in this area and in the development towards SWEN.
  • Contribute expert knowledge and analysis within risk and vulnerability work (RSA), with a special focus on how different risks and events can affect water supply and other socially critical operations.

You will also serve as the administration's representative in the city's readiness network, where you will gain a broad network and the opportunity to collaborate with actors from across the City of Gothenburg. The role offers significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to influence development in an area that is becoming increasingly important for society's security and resilience.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in security, readiness, or another area deemed relevant by the employer, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience working in continuity management, supply readiness, or civil defense.
  • Very good communication skills in both speech and writing, as the work involves creating governing documents, analyses, and decision support materials.

Knowledge of RAKEL is considered an advantage.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are an independent and initiative-driven person who takes responsibility for your work and drives tasks forward. You work in a structured and methodical manner and have the ability to translate complex issues into clear materials and practical solutions. The role involves many contact surfaces, which requires you to be communicative and have an easy time building good collaborations. You thrive working independently while also seeing the value of collaboration to achieve common goals. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The position is security-classified and requires a passed security clearance, which includes drug and alcohol testing, register checks with the Swedish Security Service (Säpo), and Swedish citizenship.

We warmly welcome your application!
