The Building and Environment Administration works on behalf of the Building Committee and the Environmental Committee. Our goal is to be the authority we would want to meet ourselves, to make it easy to do the right thing, and to provide the best possible service. Approximately 60 people work at the administration, led by an Administrative Director and five Unit Managers. We all work together to make a difference for residents and businesses in Mölndal. The administration is located in the City Hall in central Mölndal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Building Permit Officer for our Building Permit Unit.

Your main focus will be on processing building permit cases and supervision according to the Planning and Building Act. Since the processing covers all case categories, you will work closely with other officers in the unit.

The processing includes review, investigation, communication, and decision-making. You prepare statements and service writings with proposed decisions for the Building Committee and make decisions yourself according to the delegation order. You are also involved in preparing statements for the court. The work involves many contacts with Mölndal City's citizens and businesses.

As an employee, you influence and contribute to the unit's continued development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a university education in law or civil engineering. Experience of authority exercise within the PBL (Planning and Building Act) is a requirement.

You are accustomed to independently driving your own processes, have good administrative skills, and plan and structure your work in an efficient way. You thrive working in a team and have a receptive approach. As a person, you are calm, stable, and relationship-building. You communicate clearly and pedagogically, ensuring that messages get through by reminding and following up.

You have a holistic view, take several perspectives into account, and have a good ability to make correct assessments based on the best interests of the operations. It is important that you have a good understanding of the conditions of the politically governed organization and the political dimension of the work. We are looking for you who see opportunities in changes and contribute with engagement and competence.

The work involves many contacts with citizens and other stakeholders, so we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
