We are now looking, on behalf of Axel Larsson, for a Logistician who wants to contribute to the company's continued development. In this role, you will work closely with both internal functions and external suppliers, focusing on creating efficient flows and ensuring high quality in deliveries.
About the Role
This is a direct recruitment position, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Bravura, and you will be employed directly by Axel Larsson.
About the Company
Axel Larsson Maskinaffär AB is an independent family-owned business with over 75 years of experience and a strong position as one of Scandinavia's leading suppliers of valves and instruments. Here, tradition meets innovation – the company delivers customized valve packages, automation solutions, and technical consulting to some of the industry's most demanding players.
The company's values serve as a common benchmark that permeates the organization and guides decisions and working methods in daily operations. With headquarters in Upplands Väsby and local offices across Sweden, the company offers a work environment characterized by commitment, quality, and care.
Responsibilities
In the role of Logistician, you play a central part in the company's material flow and act as a key link between suppliers, warehouse, production, and other parts of the business. You are responsible for placing orders, following them up, and ensuring deliveries are made according to plan, while also ensuring that information in the business system is up-to-date and accurate. The role involves many contact points, where you collaborate closely with purchasing, warehouse, production, product managers, and the sales organization to create efficient delivery flows and resolve any discrepancies. The work is largely ongoing and system-based, handling orders, updates, and follow-ups at a high pace.
You also have daily contact with international suppliers, where you follow up on deliveries and handle discrepancies. This means you need to be comfortable initiating dialogues, setting requirements, and driving cases forward when problems arise, ensuring they are resolved to completion. Additionally, you work with transport bookings, delivery follow-ups, invoice processing, and customs and import issues.
Examples of tasks:
- Placing orders and following up on deliveries from suppliers
- Handling order confirmations and updating delivery information in the business system
- Planning and booking transports within Sweden and internationally
- Following up on discrepancies, complaints, and supplier matters
- Handling supplier invoices as well as customs and import issues
- Collaborating closely with warehouse, production, product managers, and the sales organization to ensure efficient delivery flows
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
- Experience in operational purchasing, logistics, or similar flow-oriented work
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Good computer skills and experience working in business systems (ERP)
- Good Swedish and English in speech and writing
We also consider it meritorious if you have:
- Post-secondary education in logistics, e.g., YH (University College)
- Knowledge of customs, VAT, freight, and/or purchasing issues
- Knowledge of additional European languages
We are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and thrives in a role where order, quality, and responsibility are a natural part of everyday life. You drive your tasks forward with perseverance, follow up on what needs to be done, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You act with integrity and feel confident making decisions you can stand by. The role is operational and varied, requiring you to plan your work, prioritize correctly, and maintain overview even when several tasks are ongoing simultaneously. As a person, you are also unpretentious and appreciate collaborating with others to create efficient workflows. At the same time, you are self-motivated, take initiative, and thrive in an environment where people work closely together, share information, and contribute together to the company's goals.
