About the Role

As an experienced Project Manager, you will hold the role of Lead Project Manager or Project Manager within our program organization. You will be responsible for investment projects for high-voltage power lines. You will represent Svenska Kraftnät as the client and be responsible for the project's time, cost, and results. The role may encompass both the planning/design phase and the construction phase.

This role suits you if you have experience independently driving your areas of responsibility in large, complex infrastructure projects. You thrive in a role where you are expected to make decisions and drive the work forward together with other project members and consultants.

This recruitment is shared among several project management units. We are looking for experienced project managers regardless of whether you prefer to work in early or late phases of infrastructure projects, and regardless of whether you are interested in the role of Project Manager or Lead Project Manager.

During the planning and design phases, great importance is placed on permitting issues and communication with the project's various stakeholders. During the construction phase, you are responsible for steering and leading an internal project team as well as procuring and monitoring contracted contractors. As a Project Manager, you are also responsible for work environment and electrical safety.

In the role of Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for several projects and have Project Managers reporting to you. You lead and coach the Project Managers to ensure that the projects achieve their goals, and you report to the Program Manager.

You will belong to the Management Projects department, represented at Svenska Kraftnät's headquarters in Sundbyberg as well as at the various local offices in Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Sollefteå, Luleå, and Västerås.

Education:

You have a university degree in a field relevant to the position or equivalent experience acquired in another way that Svenska Kraftnät assesses as equivalent. Examples include specialization in civil engineering, infrastructure, or electrical power.

You also have:

• At least seven years of experience in project management of large, complex projects within infrastructure or construction
• Knowledge of contract law (e.g., ABK09, ABT, AB)
• Knowledge of AMA and similar industry standards
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with electrical power projects
• Experience working with permitting processes or handling landowner issues
• Project management training, e.g., PMI/IPMA
• Experience working within or towards the public sector
• Experience working in a client function
