What does a Service Technician do?

As a Service Technician, you are responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure and developing the communication networks of the future. Your main tasks include identifying and solving customer problems, as well as installing and configuring new equipment. You will work with a wide variety of technical equipment in the IP and LAN fields, such as routers and switches, as well as other types of customer installations and connections.

Examples of tasks:

• Troubleshooting
• Performing installations at customer sites
• Configuring and measuring in new equipment
• Performing functional tests
• Commissioning and ensuring that existing equipment within the IP/LAN/Router technical area, as well as other types of customer installations/connections, functions according to the customer's instructions

On-call duty (rotation week) is part of this position.

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

• have completed upper secondary education with a relevant focus
• have a good understanding of IP technology, networks, and mobile systems
• can read and interpret work documents
• can handle measuring instruments such as OTDR and similar
• fluent in Swedish
• have a B-driver's license for manual transmission

As a technician, you have many different contacts, partly with our production planner who distributes and schedules work for available technicians, and partly with the customer when needed. Sometimes you need to ensure you procure what is needed to solve the problem for the customer, where communication is key.

You report your time daily via phone or computer and report continuously during and after completed work. Naturally, you maintain close dialogue with our production planner and our customers so they are updated on how the work is progressing.
