About the Role

In collaboration with Columbia Elektronik, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Designer to design test fixtures for circuit boards!

Columbia Elektronik designs and manufactures test fixtures primarily for circuit boards, but also fixtures for final testing of finished products. Here, mechanical design, precision, and user-friendliness are combined into a system. The goal is to increase performance, minimize risks, and create smarter solutions from the start.

In this role, your tasks include designing test fixtures according to manufacturing specifications. The work also involves creating design proposals for customers and working on continuous improvements. The role involves a significant amount of customer contact.

Columbia designs and manufactures one-off products for customers, which means that every new project presents new challenges. Therefore, this position is ideal for you if you have strong problem-solving skills and an analytical eye. As a designer, you are responsible for ensuring the product meets the customer's requirements.

Working hours are during the day, with some flexibility. The start date is planned for after the summer or as agreed upon.

You will be employed directly by Columbia Elektronik, but the recruitment process is handled by Ikett.

About the Company

Columbia is an electronics company that develops and sells test equipment for the Scandinavian and Baltic markets. Today, Columbia provides test equipment with a focus on customized test fixture solutions for circuit boards. The company designs and produces its own fixture solutions and holds several complementary agency agreements. Columbia also sells complete test systems and offers test development and service for these.

The company was founded in 1977 in Kolmården, Norrköping. Today, it belongs to the Industry business area within the publicly listed group Addtech AB (publ).

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical design or similar, good communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. As a person, we see you as self-motivated, proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented.

Basic Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in design
• Relevant technical education
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits:

• Experience with mechanical design
• Experience in production or product development
• Interest in continuous improvement and quality work
• Experience working with SolidWorks
