For our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, we are now looking for a Quality Engineer – Electrical for a project at their site in Finspång.

This is initially a consulting assignment of approximately 12 months via Unik Resurs, with very good opportunities for extension.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Do you want to work with quality, electrical safety, and explosion protection in an international high-tech environment?

Siemens Energy is now looking for a Quality Engineer – Electrical for Product Quality in Finspång. Here you will play a key role in ensuring that our gas turbine deliveries meet international requirements regarding electrical installation, explosion protection, and quality.

A snapshot of your day:

As a Quality Engineer – Electrical, you will become part of Product Quality, a team of 16 people with broad competence in pressurized systems, piping, welding, electrical installations, IECEx, and certification. The group consists of both employees and consultants who work together to ensure the highest quality in Siemens Energy's deliveries worldwide.

You will work in customer projects where you are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and documenting electrical installations and equipment related to explosion protection (Ex/ATEX). The role involves close collaboration with design, project management, sales, and customers, as well as the opportunity to travel to installation sites to conduct quality inspections.

How you will make an impact:

• Ensure that electrical installations meet requirements according to Ex/ATEX, IECEx, and customer specifications.
• Review customer contracts and identify local regulations and requirements related to explosion protection.
• Compile and review Ex-lists with components, classifications, and certificates.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections at Siemens Energy installations worldwide.
• Document deviations and prepare inspection reports.
• Provide technical support to the sales organization regarding Ex-requirements.
• Prepare documentation for CE marking and compliance with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) for control cabinets.

Your Profile

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a strong focus on quality who thrives working in a structured manner in an international project environment. You are meticulous, analytical, and have a talent for collaborating with many different functions while taking personal responsibility for your deliverables.

We would like you to have:

• An engineering degree in power systems, electrical engineering, or equivalent, or alternatively a high school education in electricity combined with several years of experience in electrical installations.
• Experience in quality work, inspection, or verification.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, documentation, and contracts.
• Knowledge of ATEX and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD).
• Experience with IECEx is an advantage.
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written. Swedish is an advantage.
