Your Role

Are you a dedicated engineer who wants to help shape the future of the aviation industry? We are now looking for a driven Test Engineer who wants to work on exciting and challenging projects together with our dynamic team of approximately 25 employees. Here you get a unique opportunity to be part of the journey to new heights, where we not only develop fighter aircraft but also create tomorrow's test methodologies and technical solutions within the aviation field.

As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with the fighter aircraft and have the opportunity to plan and conduct testing both in aircraft, simulators, and rigs. You will develop test methodologies and test programs, lead tests in the various test stations, and analyze results – a central role where you truly make a difference. During flight tests, you monitor the flight in real-time and ensure that every step is carried out with precision and safety.

You will be a key player in our projects, where we work in close collaboration in test teams consisting of pilots, development engineers, and other test engineers. Together, we take the products all the way from design to a validated solution.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a positive and proactive engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to understand how things work at a deep level. You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on variation in your tasks.

To succeed in the role, we see that:

• You have a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in areas such as mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, technical physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• You preferably have a few years of experience in a relevant area, such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics, flight performance, or control systems.
• You have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as our documentation is primarily in English.

Interest and experience in developing operations using Python, Linux, Git, or automation tools such as Jenkins is a plus.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
