Welcome to Närhälsan Gamlestadstorget Health Centre! We are developing the health centre and now have the opportunity to expand! The health centre is an established operation located in Östra Göteborg, a district that is undergoing significant development. The premises are fresh and bright with good transport links to the centre nearby. We are 46 people working in various professions at the health centre and have approximately 14,350 registered patients of different ages. The same building also houses the Child Health Centre (BVC), a rehabilitation clinic, and a midwife clinic. We are now also launching an elderly care clinic at the health centre, and we are looking for you who want to help build it.

About the Job

We are going to launch our elderly care clinic, and your duties will focus on this start-up as well as home visits for those aged 70+, your own clinic sessions, SÄBO (supported housing), and short-term care included in the role. The elderly care clinic has three fundamentals: care focus, collaboration, and health promotion, with the aim of improving collaboration and quality in the care chain for our frail elderly. We will have the opportunity to offer collaboration, planning meetings, and generously provide home visits for our elderly residents.

Your duties at the health centre span a broad field and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work with clinic work and digital healthcare meetings in primary care.

We offer you varied work with good development opportunities, for example through continuous further education of ten days per year.

About You

You are a licensed physician and have specialist training in the field of geriatrics, with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare. Knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who can work independently but still wants to participate in the development of the operation. In your work, you meet many different patients, so it is important that you are sensitive and have a good manner of dealing with people. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a matter of course to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
