About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Gamlestadstorget Health Centre! We are an established unit located in Eastern Gothenburg, a district undergoing significant development. Our premises are fresh and bright with good transport links to the city centre nearby. We are a team of 46 people working in various professions, serving approximately 14,350 registered patients of all ages. The building also houses a Child Health Centre (BVC), a rehabilitation clinic, and a midwife clinic. We work to ensure good communication across professional boundaries and strive to utilize the vast knowledge possessed by each employee. We believe that having influence and the opportunity to impact planning, scheduling, and tasks is a prerequisite for a good work environment. We are now expanding our operations and are looking for you who wish to be part of this development.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health centre are varied, with the patient at the center. The work includes independent work in the laboratory with sample collection and checks, assisting doctors with wound care and minor surgeries, and performing common examinations such as blood pressure measurements and ECGs. Other duties may include wound dressing changes, suturing, and managing your own clinic. You will work both independently and as part of a team with other staff categories at the health centre. Ordering supplies and preparing examination rooms are part of the daily routine.

We use the medical record system Asynja Visph. Training future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also included in your role at the health centre.

About You

• You have documented education as a nursing assistant (undersköterska).
• You have previous experience working at a health centre or in home care, as well as experience with venous blood sampling.
• Experience with wound care, suturing, blood pressure measurement, and running your own nursing assistant clinic is considered an asset.

In your work, you will meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. The workload is varied and sometimes high, so it is important that you have good prioritization skills and are flexible.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

As of July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" (undersköterska) became a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title nursing assistant within care and social services.
