About Us

Gamlestadstorget Emergency Clinic is an evening and weekend emergency clinic whose mission is to provide good care when regular health centers are closed. At our clinic, patients of all ages seek help for both minor and serious acute conditions, ranging from wounds and burns, suspected fractures, to various types of infections. Some are treated and cared for at the emergency clinic, while other patients need to be referred for assessment and treatment at a hospital. The clinic works in teams consisting of doctors, nurses/registered nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, and physiotherapists.

About the Job

Your duties at the emergency clinic cover a broad field and include general medicine, where you meet patients of all ages and situations. As a nurse at the emergency clinic, you are offered exciting and rewarding work with a great variety of patients. You will have a varied job where a large part consists of triage and clinic reception, as well as other common tasks at an emergency clinic such as blood sampling, wound dressing, and ECG examinations. You also serve as support to other professional groups at the clinic.

About You

You are a registered nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care and/or have completed a 7.5 ECTS supervisor education, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can prioritize your tasks effectively.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, empathetic, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You communicate well both verbally and in writing, and are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would appreciate if you have an interest in digitalization and business development.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department, who call current candidates for a telephone interview. The hiring manager then makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe concrete situations as much as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
