Travel Assistance Unit – Two Travel Assistance Officers Wanted

Do you want to contribute to enabling people to travel safely and independently? We are currently looking for two travel assistance officers!

As a travel assistance officer at Jönköping County Transport (Jönköpings Länstrafik), you will use your expertise to make legally sound decisions and provide excellent service to the county's residents. Here, you will become part of an engaged team working together for accessible travel, high quality, and a positive work climate.

The Role of Travel Assistance Officer

As a travel assistance officer, you will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the right to travel assistance (färdtjänst) and national travel assistance (riksfärdtjänst). The work is conducted in accordance with current legislation and guidelines and covers the entire process – from application to decision and any potential appeals.

You will have many contacts, primarily via telephone, with customers, relatives, healthcare staff, municipalities, and colleagues within County Transport. Through shared commitment, we create security and legal certainty for the county's residents.

Examples of tasks in the role:

• Investigate and decide on the customer's need for travel assistance and national travel assistance.
• Provide support and assistance to county residents regarding travel assistance and national travel assistance.
• Inform about our public transport and service trips.
• Contribute to the development of operations together with colleagues.

The positions are permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed. Probationary period may apply.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education for the position, for example in law, behavioral science, or social work. You have experience in public administration and experience in working with investigation, decision-making, and the application of laws and regulations. You have knowledge of disabilities and accessibility.

• Be confident in making decisions and able to explain them clearly and respectfully.
• Have a good ability to meet people with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Work systematically and ensure legal certainty in every decision.
• Easily adapt to digital systems/tools and have very good skills in expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Our Recruitment Process

The last day for applications is August 31st. You apply by attaching your CV to your application and answering a few questions relevant to the position.
